FREE-DVV

The Financial Resources and Education to Empower Domestic Violence Victims (FREE-DVV) project is an international collaboration aimed at empowering victims of domestic violence by strengthening their financial independence, increasing their knowledge of finances, and enhancing the capacities of professionals who help to support them. Economic abuse can leave victims trapped in abusive environments due to financial dependency, debt, or loss of control over their income and resources. The FREE-DVV project seeks to address this challenge with innovative, practical solutions that can be implemented across Europe. The project will develop a comprehensive set of tools and training materials. These include a guidebook for professionals, a practical workbook for survivors, and an online course available in multiple languages. These resources will provide practical strategies, financial literacy tools, legal guidance, and psychological support techniques to help survivors rebuild their economic autonomy.
