On June 3rd 2025 in Valencia, the IMPROVE International Symposium featured insights from experts across Europe, focusing on innovative strategies to address domestic violence.

Mari Puniste, Project Manager at the University of Tartu, presented the TACTICS project during the Pitch Session, highlighting its role in enhancing prevention and fostering multi-agency collaboration. The event also included keynote speeches from Lisa Collste from the European Commission and María Teresa Nevado representing the European Women’s Lobby in Spain.

Cross-project collaboration is key to driving structural change. It allows partners to align methodologies, share tools, and amplify successful practices across sectors and borders. Such synergy promotes more consistent and impactful reforms in how systems prevent and respond to violence. “For TACTICS, participating in events like this is particularly valuable. It helps build connections with complementary initiatives, broadens the project’s visibility, and enables mutual learning. Engaging with other EU-funded projects ensures that TACTICS’ tools and models are informed by cutting-edge developments and can be adapted and adopted more widely,” says Mari.

The symposium also showcased technological advancements like the AI-powered AinoAid™ chatbot and the European Training Platform, aiming to bolster frontline responders' capabilities.
