Our team is dedicated to making an impact in the fight against intimate partner violence (IPV). We are passionate about addressing this critical issue through collaborative research, advocacy, and community engagement. We bring a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and combating IPV by comprising experts from diverse fields such as psychology, sociology, law, and public health.
We also believe in the power of collaboration to effect positive change. By partnering with NGOs, communities, and academic institutions in Europe, we strive to create innovative solutions, raise awareness, and contribute to developing evidence-based interventions. Over the years, we have developed close cooperation with the Women's Support and Information Centre NPO (WSIC) in Tartu, which has specialized knowledge and expertise in dealing with IPV, including understanding the dynamics of the phenomenon, providing support services, and advocating for policy changes. WSIC is at the forefront of implementing practical solutions to address IPV. Most of our collaborative work has resulted in publicly available online video lectures and online courses on different aspects of IPV (e.g., violence against older people, cyberviolence, IPV and substance (ab)use). Our commitment extends beyond academic research — we aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by IPV, fostering safer and healthier communities. Together, we can work towards a world where everyone can enjoy healthy, respectful, and violence-free relationships.
